A Parisian Corner with a Perfect View

Sitting in one of Paris’ most prestigious corners, across the street from The Louvre and graciously guarded by Joan of Arc, the historical Hotel Regina Louvre offers sweeping views of some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the world’s most desired city view, the Eiffel Tower.

Zooming in on the View

Inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s “Paris is always a good idea” line from the 1954 film Sabrina, we gladly visited the Hotel Regina Louvre to check for ourselves the legendary vistas on display from this extraordinary five-star hotel. While the promise of eye-popping views was flawlessly delivered, the hotel’s distinct charm and character won us. To learn more about one of the best hotels in Paris, which was also the birthplace of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent societies after World War I, we joined Ms. Julie Policand in sharing a table at the English Bar, adorned with red velvet sofas and infused by the aura of the Victorian era.

  • … Paris performs an intimate ballet, choreographed uniquely for each room at Hotel Raphael. From one terrace, the Eiffel Tower pirouettes against a backdrop of zinc rooftops, while from another, the Arc de Triomphe stands in noble salute. The morning light paints the city in pastels, casting long shadows across Haussmann facades, while sunset gilds every monument in imperial gold. Some guests wake to find their room softly filled with the rose-gold dawn reflecting off the Iron Lady's latticed frame, others end their day watching the Arc de Triomphe emerge from dusk like a bronze ghost. It's a private theater where the City of Light plays all the leading roles, and every window frame becomes a proscenium arch for Paris's never-ending show.

  • The most breathtaking views at the hotel are enjoyed from the accommodations on the upper floors. However, several rooms and suites on the lower floors also offer guaranteed views of the Eiffel Tower, providing an ideal vantage point to admire Paris's iconic landmarks, including the statue of Joan of Arc. Guests can also glimpse the Eiffel Tower from the lobby and select seats in the tea room.

As visitors step out to explore the city, passing through the hotel’s distinctive revolving door—a feature that has appeared in multiple films—they are greeted by the striking sight of Joan of Arc’s golden statue, the centerpiece of Place des Pyramides.

  • From the balcony of a lovely corner suite, guests can take in a breathtaking panorama of Paris, with views of 14 iconic landmarks. From left to right, these include Saint-Jacques Tower, The Louvre, Tuileries Garden, the Statue of Joan of Arc, Musée d'Orsay, Les Invalides, Sainte-Clotilde, the Eiffel Tower, Grande Roue De Paris, Place de la Concorde (Obelisk), Grand Palais, Petit Palais, the Arc de Triomphe, and the La Défense skyline. It’s a view that truly feels as if Paris is at one’s feet.

Several room categories at the hotel offer similarly stunning perspectives of the city:

🔭 Prestige Louvre Eiffel Tower Room

This room provides a spectacular view of the Louvre Museum from the bedroom, with a partial view of the Eiffel Tower and the Tuileries Garden from the window.

    🔭 Junior Suite Eiffel Tower

This suite offers splendid views of the Eiffel Tower, Tuileries Garden, and the Louvre from the bedroom, making it an excellent choice for those seeking iconic Parisian vistas.

    🔭 Suite Eiffel Tower

This suite boasts the most remarkable views among all room categories. Guests can admire the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, the glass roof of the Grand Palais, and the Tuileries Garden. Some units on the upper floors also feature a small balcony, offering unparalleled perspectives of the Eiffel Tower and other notable Parisian monuments.

    🔭 Parisian Suite

One of the most sought-after accommodations, the 7th-floor Parisian Suite, offers a uniquely enchanting experience. Its authentic Parisian balconies provide sweeping views of the city, including the Eiffel Tower and other landmarks. Additionally, a second balcony facing the courtyard offers a magnificent view of Sacré-Coeur, adding another layer of charm to this exceptional suite.

  • The hotel has proudly assisted countless guests in crafting unforgettable marriage proposals, preparing magical settings complete with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop. Suites are adorned with flowers, rose petals, and an ice-cold bottle of French champagne, creating an atmosphere where saying no would be nearly impossible.

One of the most spectacular times to experience the hotel’s exceptional views is on July 14th, France’s National Day. Guests can witness low-flying fighter jets painting the skies with the colors of the French flag, followed by the highly anticipated fireworks display. This event is so cherished that reservation requests for Eiffel Tower view rooms, particularly suites, are made years in advance. The late-night fireworks illuminate the Eiffel Tower, creating an unforgettable and romantic experience.

Another highlight is the arrival of the Tour de France cyclists in Paris. The city buzzes with excitement as the athletes make their way through, and from the hotel, guests can almost hear the labored breaths of the riders as they pass along Rue de Rivoli.

  • The hotel's concept of luxury extends far beyond its historic location, where high-fashion shows have unfolded and iconic films have been set, or even the breathtaking views offered by select room and suite categories. At Hotel Regina, luxury embodies a deeper philosophy. As a people-centered establishment, the hotel places immense focus on its dedicated staff, who are meticulously trained to anticipate guests' needs and ensure their well-being throughout their stay. This commitment has earned the Regina numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the top 10% of best hotels in Paris on a leading review platform.

Luxury at the Regina also includes enhancements that often go unnoticed but make a significant impact. For example, the hotel achieved the prestigious “Quiet Room” certification after implementing soundproofing measures, a rare feature in Parisian hotels. This ensures guests enjoy a tranquil, uninterrupted night’s sleep, free from the city’s lively street noise—a hallmark of the hotel’s thoughtful approach to hospitality.
